Advanced Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffitti (DRAGG) is offered in partnership with the Police Department. Students will assist first year students. In a leadership role as they learn responsibility and respect for others in the unique environment of the automotive industry while gaining hands-on exposure to automotive careers. In this advanced course students will demonstrate the skills, abilities and knowledge to enter a peace officers field-training program and execute the duties of a peace officer in society. The program will include instruction in communication skills with an emphasis on listening, reading, speaking, writing, and critical thinking. Students will learn basic concepts of criminal law, principles of law enforcement, constitutional and criminal law and how to effectively integrate technology as appropriate/needed to complete investigations. Air Academy: Unmanned Aerial Systems Honors is an innovating and exciting course that will help to prepare students for this fast growing field. Students will gain knowledge about the regulations and procedures governing the safe and legal operation of sUAS (drones). The course covers the the knowledge needed for the Federal Aviation Administration's Part 107 airman knowledge test for a Remote Pilot Certificate with a sUAS rating. Upon completion of this course students will have gained the knowledge to take the FAA written examination per requirement of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) 61-05 Section 61.3, Private Pilot, which is a requirement in obtaining a Private Pilot Certificate. This course will also provide students with a network of industry experts and allow industry leading experiences, internships and real world projects utilizing sUAS. Students will be eligible for a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion. More

Animation will introduce students to traditional as well as computer-based animation. Students will develop skills in storyboarding, character design and various animation techniques. This class introduces the world of computer 2D and 3D animation. Students learn the basic skills required to work with the movement of figures, landscapes, objects, lighting and textures used to create animation.
