In this advanced course students will demonstrate the skills, abilities and knowledge to enter a peace officers field-training program and execute the duties of a peace officer in society. The program will include instruction in communication skills with an emphasis on listening, reading, speaking, writing, and critical thinking. Students will learn basic concepts of criminal law, principles of law enforcement, constitutional and criminal law and how to effectively integrate technology as appropriate/needed to complete investigations. All students will follow a Chain of Command and a Professional Code of Conduct. Students may be eligible for a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion. More

Aerial Videography introduces students to the new  world of film and photography using drones. Students will learn camera selection, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) selection, filming and photography, and FAA regulations. This course will introduce students to the multiple industries that are using drone operators for videography and photography. Air Academy: Unmanned Aerial Systems Honors is an innovating and exciting course that will help to prepare students for this fast growing field. Students will gain knowledge about the regulations and procedures governing the safe and legal operation of sUAS (drones). The course covers the the knowledge needed for the Federal Aviation Administration's Part 107 airman knowledge test for a Remote Pilot Certificate with a sUAS rating. Upon completion of this course students will have gained the knowledge to take the FAA written examination per requirement of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) 61-05 Section 61.3, Private Pilot, which is a requirement in obtaining a Private Pilot Certificate. This course will also provide students with a network of industry experts and allow industry leading experiences, internships and real world projects utilizing sUAS. Students will be eligible for a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion. More

Applied Manufacturing teaches the principles of machining and metal cutting using modern machine tools, hand tools, and precision measuring tools. Students will learn to use four basic machine tools: Lathe, vertical mill, drill press, and surface grinder. In addition, students will learn how to operate modern CNC equipment as used industrially in rapid prototyping and production. Students will have the opportunity to build a part for the International Space Station on behalf of NASA.
