Applied Manufacturing teaches the principles of machining and metal cutting using modern machine tools, hand tools, and precision measuring tools. Students will learn how to operate modern CNC equipment as used industrially in rapid prototyping and production. Students will have the opportunity to build a part for the International Space Station on behalf of NASA. Students may earn a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion and will be eligible to take an exam to earn a NIMS credential as part of their coursework. More

Auto Body Repair will introduce students to the world of structural repair of vehicles. Students will learn in an industry-standard shop on campus how to straighten and align the body of the vehicles to get them prepared to paint. Students will be able to identify irregularities and problems with a vehicle's body. Students may intern in an auto body shop the second semester and may earn a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion. More

In today’s digital world threats from cyberspace are real and dangerous. Honors Cyber Security introduces the basic principles and best practices of cyber security and online identity protection. Topics include information security, ethical and legal practices, and mitigating cyber vulnerabilities. Students will practice incident response and analysis, and test the integrity of modern information systems. Introduction to Law Enforcement Careers introduces students to the essential concepts and procedures of law enforcement agencies. The course is designed to prepare students for a career in law enforcement, and incorporates law enforcement concept, and systems. Students will have various opportunities to interact/work with law enforcement professionals. Students may need to pass a background check in order to intern with local enforcement agencies. Students may earn a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion.


By completing this course, along with Criminal Justice, students will earn a certificate of completion for our Law Enforcement Pathway. This is the capstone course for any students who are in the Law Enforcement pathway. 
Not only will the students receive law enforcement curriculum, but they will be taught by instructors from the department or officers who have recently retired. They will have guest speakers, tours of facilities, and other experiences relevant to anyone interested in law enforcement one day.
