Advanced Welding provides students with an understanding of processes and systems common to careers in welding and related industries. The instructional program prepares individuals to use both gas welding and any combination of arc welding processes to weld metal parts and plan and lay out materials as specified by diagrams, blueprints, or written specifications. Students may serve an unpaid internship in the welding industry, may earn a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion, and may also earn a AWS Certified Welding inspector: Welding Qualification and processes certificate. Applied Manufacturing teaches the principles of machining and metal cutting using modern machine tools, hand tools, and precision measuring tools: Lathe, vertical mill, drill press, and surface grinder. In addition, students will learn how to operate modern CNC equipment as used industrially in rapid prototyping and production. Students will have the opportunity to build a part for the International Space Station on behalf of NASA. Students may earn a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion and will be eligible to take an exam to earn a NIMS credential as part of their coursework. More

Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffitti (DRAGG) is offered in partnership with the Oxnard Police Department. Students learn responsibility and respect for others in the unique environment of the automotive industry, while gaining hands-on exposure to knowledge of automotive careers.
